From job site to proof link in five minutes.
MapProof keeps the workflow short on purpose. Most contractors get the whole thing into muscle memory after their second job.
- 01
Sign up and add your company
Create your account, type your company name, drop in your logo (optional, but it's the brand mark on every customer-facing page so it's worth doing once).
List the services you offer — turf installation, pavers, landscaping, whatever. Those become the filter chips on your dashboard and on your portfolio page.
- 02
Add a project from the field
New project takes ten seconds: client name, address (Mapbox autocomplete pins it for the portfolio map), service type, and an optional appointment time for the initial estimate. The appointment drops into your iPhone or Android calendar with a one-hour reminder.
Track the things that actually move a job forward: estimate amount, final amount, notes, and which teammate owns it. New leads auto-assign to whoever entered them, so you always know whose name is on the follow-up.
Set the project status to Lead while you're chasing it. Move it to Sold when you book it.
- 03
Capture before and after
Tap “+ Before photos” before you start the work. Pick from your camera roll or shoot directly. iPhone HEIC photos are converted automatically. Photo GPS and capture time get saved to your records — but stripped from the public version, so a homeowner you share with never sees metadata.
When the job's done, “+ After photos” and any walkthrough video you shot. Videos up to 2 GB upload reliably even on cell, with a real progress bar.
- 04
Mark Sold, share the link
Switch the project status to Sold. Mint a proof link from the project page. Text or email it to your customer. They open it in any browser — no app, no account.
The share page shows the photos and any videos you uploaded. The customer can save any of them straight to their phone's Photos library with one tap. No GPS data, no addresses, no client info — just the work.
- 05
Spin up a branded social post
Tap “Generate post” and MapProof builds a 1080×1080 image with your logo, the after-photo, and a clean service + city overlay — sized for Instagram and Facebook. AI writes the caption in a contractor's voice (no “amazing transformation 🎉” auto-marketing energy); hit Regenerate if the first one doesn't feel right, or edit it directly before you copy.
Save the image to your camera roll, copy the caption, paste into the IG or FB composer. Two taps from project page to ready-to-post — no Canva, no separate caption-writing tool, no brand inconsistency across jobs.
- 06
Build a portfolio that sells the next job
Every Sold project with at least one After photo pins to your portfolio map at
/p/your-org. Filter by city. Embed the map — or a single project's gallery — on your existing website with a one-line snippet that copies straight out of the Portfolio page. When a prospect calls and asks “have you done one near me?”, you send them the portfolio link before you've even quoted.
That's the whole loop.
Capture. Share. Showcase. No paperwork, no separate apps, no asking the customer to install anything.
